The Pall-Aquasafe Disposable Water Filters (AQ31F1SA, AQ31F1RA) provide filtered water suitable for washing and drinking*, superficial wound cleansing, cleaning of equipment used in medical procedures and washing of surgeon's hands for up to 31 day use. The double layer sterilizing grade Supor® membrane is rated and validated at 0.2 μm2-4 and may aid in infection control by acting as a barrier to waterborne particulates and pathogens.
To minimize the risk of retrograde contamination, the filter housing material utilizes silver technology as an enhanced, non-leaching bacteriostatic additive.

ENGLISH - Troubleshooting Guide for Pall-Aquasafe™ Water Filters
The quick connect adaptor does not fit to my water outlet
If the thread size on the water outlet is different to the adaptor you may need an alternative adaptor (see guide, or contact your local Pall representative, distributor or retailer). Alternatively if your water outlet is non-threaded, or has a non-standard thread you may need to change the hardware of the water outlet. If the latter is the case, please consult a plumber or local estates department as appropriate.
The water filter does not fit to the quick connect adaptor
Pall-Aquasafe Water Filters are designed to fit the appropriate shower or tap quick connect adaptors. Push the water filter inlet into the adaptor until it fully engages with an audible click.
The adaptor is leaking where it joins the water outlet
Ensure that the gasket supplied with the adaptor is not damaged and is inserted before attaching the adaptor and tightening the joint. If necessary use thread seal tape, also commonly known as PTFE or plumber’s tape, to ensure a water tight join.
The adaptor is leaking where it joins the water filter
Ensure that the O-ring is present and in position on the water filter inlet. Ensure the water filter is pushed into the adaptor fully and is engaged.
The water filter does not disconnect from the adaptor
Press the release button on the adaptor firmly, and, at the same time, grasp the filter and disengage with a twisting and pulling action.
Water flow through the filter is slow
Has the water filter been disconnected from the adaptor at any time? If so, air may have entered the filter housing and caused air locking which can significantly reduce the flow of water through the device. If this is the case, the water filter should be replaced with a new one. If the water filter has not been disconnected then it is possible that the reduction in water flow may be as a result of heavy contamination of the water supply with particles, rust or micro-organisms. This particulate contamination may be intermittent and/or related to maintenance or building work associated with the water system. The water filter should be replaced with a new one when the flow rate becomes unacceptable. If appropriate contact your local Pall representative, distributor or retailer for pre-filtration options.
The water filter has been replaced with a new filter, but the water flow is still reduced.
Ensure that the filter is fully engaged with the quick connect adaptor for optimum flow rate. Flow rates through the water filter are dependent on water pressure. If your water pressure is less than 1 bar g the pressure may not be enough to achieve flow through the device. Please contact a plumber or local estates department to advise if the water pressure can be increased.
Upstream, non-filtered water samples are needed for water quality testing
If a water sample is required for testing between Filter exchanges, remove the existing Filter and dispose of according to local procedures. To achieve water flow from the water outlet, a non-valved connector should be installed. Collect the water sample(s) as per local guidelines. Immediately install a new Filter.
The water filter has accidently been dropped on the floor and the housing has cracked. Can I still use it?
No, you will need to replace the water filter with a new one. If the housing has been damaged by such mechanical impact, the performance of the product will be affected.
If I have a problem who should I contact?
If you have a problem with Pall-Aquasafe Water Filters or their quick connect adaptors which you are unable to resolve using the advice in this Troubleshooting Guide, please contact your local Pall representative, distributor or retailer to discuss and if appropriate to return the product(s) for further investigation. Products for return must be placed in a re-sealable bag and returned following instructions given by your local Pall representative, distributor or retailer.
Where can I find additional information on the range of Pall-Aquasafe Water Filters and their quick connect adaptors?
